Rebecca is an award-winning artist and writer. Her unique experiences joining the predominantly male environment of the Royal Air Force age 17 informed the writing of her award-winning solo play WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT, published by Bloomsbury, which received its international premiere on 42nd Street, New York after its Edinburgh and UK run. It was shortlisted for a Liberty Human Rights Arts Award and had four Broadway World nominations, and her Channel 4 News interview about military harassment received 5 million views. Rebecca was one three playwrights on attachment to the Old Vic on their Old Vic 12 programme and is a member of BAFTA Connect, with British Council artistic residencies in Vietnam and a guest residency at Alserkal Arts Foundation UAE.
Her body of work is inspired by universal womanhood, cross-cultural friendship, and global research which is sparked by her traveller showfolk heritage. Rebecca is currently in funded development for an original TV drama series with the BBC with Rope Ladder Fiction, a UK/Vietnam action thriller feature with Lunar Lander Films and the New York stage adaptation of Craig Zobel’s hit feature COMPLIANCE directed by Christine Jones (HARRY POTTER + THE CURSED CHILD, MACBETH), alongside a variety of other projects for stage and screen.
